With Tony in town since Wednesday and here until Thursday it has been a whirl wind..
.I am going to dive right in to everything I have to share.
Tony was kind enough to let me share a stitch that he gave Laurie F. on her Paisley Longhorn canvas that we had painted for her.
We got the most stunning forged steel laying tools in the store this week. A customer had shown me some amazing laying tools that she had gotten somewhere, she couldn't remember where, and I immediately decided that we needed to have some. Since she couldn't recall I found a Blacksmith and took him a laying tool and asked him to recreate. He did an amazing job.
They are 4.5 inches long and are close to the same weight as a BLT. He made me a couple of different designs.
We have already sold out of the first order (20) and I have ordered another batch.
4.5 inch are $52.00 and the 5.5 inch are $58.00
Because I am giving him creative license with the designs, I am not sure what I am going to get in when I get them.
I have been using the one he made as a sample for me for about a month now and it is by far my favorite laying tool to date. The feel in my hand is just perfect,
Well I need to get to work, I am working on a stitch guide for "March Winds" from Ewe and Eye.
Love this canvas!
