I am jumping straight into the stitch I want to share today because I need to get stitching. My goal today is to finish up the first piece of the Nativity series. Unfortunately part of that finishing up will include some ripping out. I am just not happy with my face colors. The color looks fine on Mary but the same color looks muddy on Joseph. I have decided to switch from floss to silk for the faces.
I have given you two variations of Intersecting Rhodes. Both could be used for thatched roofs, bushes or even fur on a Santa's coat. Use an Overdyed thread such as stranded silk or cotton to get subtle look. Sorry I don't have a picture. I left my camera at the store.
