I love the atmosphere of the Dallas Market. The vendors set up in hotel suites so it is a much more intimate and laid back setting.
The 1st room we hit was Leigh Designs and as usual she has done it again. I can't wait for these to get up on the walls. Allow me to introduce you to: Alehouse Annie, Whiskey Kate, Champagne Corliss, Pinot Patsy, Vodka Velma, Chardonnay Charla, Slow Gin Sadie and Bourbon Betty. They are 10x10 on Laventula 18ct. canvas. $161.00.
We also picked up some adorable grab and goes from Renaissance Designs. The Kit comes with the canvas, thread, stitch guide, finishing instructions and a pre-finished frame so you can do it all your self. They are small and could easily be done over the weekend, if not faster. ($96.00)
Susan Portra was here which was a great surprise and I did pick up some of her charts that have been unavailable for while. ("A Series of Saints" and "Spirit of the Southwest")
There are some new colors of Dinky Dyes Silk Ribbons and they are yummy. (Egg Custard,Emerald, Shark Bay, Blue Iris, Jindalee).
I ordered 3 new canvas from Sew Much Fun. You remember them, they were the ones with the 3-D animals that I went nuts over in January. Mary Mouse, Bizzy Bee and Poinsettias Collage.($308.00, $120.00, and $202.00- Stitch Guide is included in the price)
Rebecca has some new cuffs and adorable new sheep ornaments for special occasions.
Denise DeRusha had a new line of Party Animals that were a hoot.
Barbara Bergsten does a lot on 14ct. canvas and has stitch guides to go with them that you can download off of her website. The Penguins are adorable and the Poppies are beautiful.
Raymond has a WONDERFUL Noel package canvas that will be great fun to stitch.
Ruth Schmuff has added to the "Eye candy" line and the Feather Tree is great. It come with a Stitch Guide. It would be a fun piece for a beginner stitcher to dive into decorative stitches. ($97.00)
